Are your hormones making you fat?

When I picture hormones, I picture the lot of them at a party.  If all of them are well balanced, they can have fun, and do their allotted jobs with ease. But then there’s the flip side. Little hormone creatures eating cupcakes, drinking too much wine, not sleeping enough and the party goes awry. Suddenly, we gain weight in all sorts of areas like our triceps, abdomen, butt, hips and thighs.  Which begs the question:

Is our hormones making us fat?

Believe it or not, they can.

I’ve been debating whether I should do this, but I decided I would.

You see, in The Enlighten Movement, all members get a hormonal checklist to fill out and through a one-hour Skype consult, I customize everyone’s plan in addition to the meal plan, recipes, video tutorials, etc. But I’ve been thinking I’d give you an additional preview of what’s in store for The Enlighten Movement by giving you this hormonal checklist to fill out. Then all you have to do is email me back your scores and I can give you an idea of what’s coming out on top and what you need to watch out for, for 2013.

For example…

Can’t stand your chicken arms and the excess fat on those triceps? Feel tired after eating? It might just mean your insulin levels are high.

Struggling with those love handles? Maybe you wake up completely exhausted? It could be excess cortisol levels in your system (the stress hormone)

Can’t seem to get rid of the junk in your trunk and on the thighs and hips? Feeling even a little moody? You might be high in estrogen levels.

These are just some of the MANY ways our hormones affect us outside of just the emotional bit and one of the reasons why many of us struggle to lose the weight. As I work with patients in my private practice, this has served as an invaluable tool amongst the other forms of treatments I roll in.

So if you’d like a sneak peak at how your hormones are partying together, fill out this survey and email me back your scores. I’ll give you an indication of where you’re at to possibly provide a little clarity for the New Year.

Yep, feeling sexy from the inside out just got one step closer for ya.
