Stepping foot into a health food store can be downright overwhelming. Patients of mine have felt claustrophobic, confused and lost. The detox section in particular, is generally a monster of a section. Whether you’re looking to do a candida cleanse to get rid of your acne or beat your chronic fatigue, the whole experience can be overwhelming. Candida box kits explode out on the shelves and it’s confusing to know which one is the best to take. So, here’s a run down of what you need to know before handing over that plastic:
Is it therapeutic enough?
There are some (not all) candida cleanse kits that I’ve seen that have low therapeutic values. I’m talking about 50mg or under of specific liver or candida-busting herbs. While this is better than nothing, 20-50mg of milk thistle is about enough of a therapeutic value to detox the liver of a mouse.
This is probably one of my biggest beefs about box kits and online programs available are that they’re way too generalized. It’s also the reason why in my online programs like The Damp Detox, I offer a 1-hour Skype consult. This way I can change things accordingly and really customize it for the individual. This is a huge difference to my programs that no one else offers. It’s another reason why I cap my programs so I can manage the amount of sign ups. To me, it’s about quality of care versus quantity of sale.
But what about your poop?
Whether you are detoxing out candida, your liver or your kidneys, ladies and gents, you need to make sure that your back door (your poop door) is open. Many candida kits I’ve seen will have gut soothing herbs and candida-fighting herbs, but what if you’re constipated? If you are going once a day, it’s still not enough. When you detox, organs like your liver will deposit toxins in your bowels. If your bowels are moving less than twice per day, then your blood capillaries that are attached to your large intestine will suck up those toxins and they’ll be reabsorbed.
Granted, I know that there are some kits available that have little recipe booklets attached, but most don’t. And when you’re talking about candida, diet plans vary so greatly it’s hard to know what’s right anymore. Not to mention, how do you know if any of those recipes even taste good? It’s a huge value of mine to make healthy food easy and delicious. No complicated “superfood” ingredients from far away places that will cost you a fortune. Simple recipes designed from my professional experience as a Nutritionist and Acupuncturist. In the Damp Detox you’ll get full coloured photos of each recipe that anyone in the past who has taken my programs will adamantly vouch for.
In my last program, The Sexy Liver Detox, I created a Facebook private group page where people bonded, motivated one another and shared their experiences. In the Damp Detox I’m adding on a Pinterest component that will feature a contest where one winner will win 6 candida-busting E3Live frozen original blue-green algae bottles that is valued over $200. You can add this incredible blue-green algae into your shakes every morning and within 30-days I can guarantee you that you’ll feel a difference to your energy levels.
So there you have it. Think twice before you break out the wallet. A $30 boxed kit isn’t always the way to go when you factor in what you’re actually getting for it.
My Damp Detox launches on September 10th at 12pmEST where only 60 people will be accepted. You can start anytime you want and can do it anywhere in the world! So if you want to stay tuned, sign up below and be the first to be notified the second we launch:
