I've Always Wanted You…But Now I'm Ready.

I know I’ve been avoiding you…I want you, you know. So let’s just do it, let’s go. Right here, right now, I’m so ready to devour you. Seriously…let’s get it on…
Allow me to present the dialogue between me and the future that up until recently, I’ve been terrified of. I’ve been avoiding it and now I’m ready to take it on, go to bed with it and show it what I’m made of. Now I’m ready to hit the ground running without…hitting the ground. After all, I’ve already fallen several times this year and now I’m finally back on my feet.
However, even though emotionally I’m pumped after gaining some perspective from travel and being alone, physically I’m a little sluggish from all the wheat. I really did miss all the greens back home that I’d stuff down. From my Sexy Green Goddess, the Sexy Recovery Green Shake and Sexy E3 Coco-Vanilla Elixir…I’ve been homesick. I’m a huge advocate of greens for vitality, youthfulness and coursing our livers so that we can avoid feeling stuck and irritated. In Chinese Medicine, greens help to build blood which when deficient (e.g. anemia)makes us feel sluggish and tired. So since I’ve been back, I’ve gone on a mini green cleanse and have been avoiding all grains for just three to four days. Mornings are challenging, until I came up with this…

GREEN WITH ENVY RAW APPLE PORRIDGE
2 organic apples
1/2 cup soaked walnuts
1 large handful parsley
1 tbsp chlorella powder
1 tbsp milled flaxseed
1 tsp Vega Antioxidant oil
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Sweetener of your choice (stevia, honey, maple syrup or agave) to taste
Mix all ingredients into a food processor or Vitamix and pure until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with more walnuts, and chopped fruit. It won’t look exactly too appetizing, but give it a chance, it’s incredibly tasty.
In Chinese Medicine traditionally, grains are the best to have in the morning and particularly something warm. However as I mentioned, this regimen is only for a period of three to four days, so I can give my system a rest from all the starches I’ve been having. Besides, I have a lot to get accomplished.
Sometimes we are our own worst critic, especially when we become attached to goals. So I’ve been working towards a vision instead. A guideline so to speak…
…career that takes off and that I love (so far, it’s on it’s way)
…being authentic and really taking care of myself (sorry Chianti, we’ll have to break up for a bit)
…give myself a break at times so I don’t crash (patience isn’t a virtue of mine)
travel to amazing places (bonjour Monsieur…)
…be open to love (but not go running or on a mad search for it)
…get back my independance (then maybe I can walk around naked again)
Finally I can hit the ground running without actually hitting the ground. After all, this year I’ve fallen too many times, that finally, I’m back on my feet and the view is looking great from here.
