I’ve read about your past life of poor eating habits and lifestyle, but what was the catalyst that changed it all? What truly was your ah ha moment?
My life purpose:
I was unsatisfied working in the credit and debt niche and had always loved health… the problem was, I was out of shape. So, I committed to my own transformation, using juicing as a means to do it. Results: I lost 25 pounds of body fat and went from 20% BF down to sub 7%. Felt amazing and wanted to share the results with others. As soon as I started posting pics online everyone wanted to know how I did it.
What is your non-negotiable food when it comes to your healthy eating regime? What could you not do without and why?
Green Juice. It gives me life!
How do you stay healthy while traveling?
Plan and plan some more. I usually hire a chef or a meal delivery service to drop off healthy snacks and a juicer before I get there. It’s fun giving away a juicer at the end of the trip as well.
You’ve truly become the epitome of the healthy, sexy male and have been seen all over the media including GQ magazine. What advice would you give to our female readers who want to get their man into better shape?
Speak their love language. I recommend reading the 5 love languages and just communicating on a deeper level. Every man, wants to be recognized for their effort and hard work.
What is the biggest nutrition misconception you always have to clear up for people?
That it’s better to eat whole fruits and veggies instead of juicing. Both are good, and I recommend everyone do both. However, juicing gives you a much needed break from the digestion process.
I could be wrong but you must cheat every once in a blue moon. If I am right, what would be the one indulgence you allow yourself to have?
Kale chips covered in cashew cheese and kombucha – I can’t get enough.
If you could have a juice/smoothie with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?
My parents. Haven’t seen them in a while and it would be great to connect face to face.
And I’m going to get a little personal here (I hope you don’t mind), but what is your biggest turn on and turn off when it comes to the opposite sex?
Turn On: A woman that smiles with her whole soul – she knows what she wants and has a deep presence of grace and love. A rockin’ body and a beautiful face is just icing on the cake. (Important though)
Turn Off: A woman that doesn’t take care of herself. Doesn’t workout, do yoga, or eat healthy foods.
What is the single most important piece of advice you would give to someone when they’re feeling hopeless about their own state of health?
1st: You deserve it!
2nd: Join a community. We have a large community and this is the biggest reason why we’ve been able to transform thousands of people. People need people.
We all know about your love and passion for juicing, but where do you stand on the juice vs. smoothie debate? And what is your favourite cocktail?
You need both. Juicing is a break for your digestion and the ultimate natural vitamin. Smoothies are loaded with fibre that aid in scraping the digestion track clean.
